Sludge Dewatering Systems
It is a process in which waster contents of waste sludge arising out of water treatment is reduced. Sludge of which water contents are reduced can be easily processed and disposal costs reduce significantly.
Before dewatering, the sludge fed with polymer additions is flocculated. Dosage and polymer selection together with fast and dense mixing are decisive for flocculation and dewatering optimization.
Screw Press Sludge Dewatering Systems
Hydrotur Screw Press Sludge Dewatering Systems are both economical and environmentally friendly sludge dewatering systems.
Waste sludge is first fed into flocculation tanks. The polymer-treated sludge flows into screw press through the reciprocal action of the moving rings and the rear plate, free water is pressed in order to achieve dewatering. Most of the free water is filtered out in the condensation area and then pushed into the sludge dewatering area where the gap between the screw shaft and the rings becomes smaller, the pressure rises, separation of the two divisions is completed. The separated water falls to the collection bottom and the dried sludge cake falls from the sludge outlet to be stored or disposed of.
ADVANTAGES
- Being a closed system, odor and noise are at a minimum level
- Very low wash water usage (1/8 compared to belt press)
- Very low power consumption (1/20 compared to centrifuge)
- High solid ratio
- Continuous and automatic working, minimum operator requirement
- Low investment and operating costs
- Optional touch screen operation
- Sludge Flow and Cake Monitoring System
- Suitable for wide range of sludge dewatering and can be used for oil sludge treatment
- Sludge can be dewatered under aerobic conditions to prevent phosphorus release from anaerobic sludge dewatering.
AREAS OF USAGE
- Municipal sludge coming from WWTP, including aerobic and digested waste
- Slaughterhouse sludge
- Textile sludge
- Biological sludge from food processing wash-down wastewater including dairy products, beer, beans etc.
- Oily wash-down wastewater including oil tank, fuel tank, car wash
- Pharmaceutical waste
- Oily ink waste
Hydrofilter (Belt Filter)
Specifically designed for each project and integrated into HydroFloty systems, Hydro filter enables dewatering of the waste sludge.
It is an ideal filtration equipment that can be used with the aim of filtering and removing the flocculated paint sludge formed as a result of the coagulation and flocculation processes at the outlet of the treatment system.
High dry matter ratio is accomplished in sludge and particle dewatering.
